Faction perms are the most useful commands, There are many permissions available.

List of perms:

Spoiler

Now the relation available are as follows:

Spoiler

Ok now that the perms are explained a little better let us have some examples of what these do.

Using /f perm shows the following

y5sC0Bx.jpg

Spoiler

Example of these these commands being used:

/f perm set build all yes

This would set ally factions able to build on your faction land.

/f perm set mem container no

This would make it so members cannot open containers, unless access is set.

==================================================================================

Access allows overriding of perms in a chunk - Build, Container, etc.

Access settings are per chunk, To see chunks there are many ways.

/f sc (toggle) allows to see shunk you are in.

Pressing F3 + G at the same time, Shows chunks around you.

Chunk Borders mod, Allows you to see chunks around you, This is a mod. download here

Ok let us get to commands.

Doing /f access shows the following.

8RjGSJR.jpg

/f access v

Shows the access in the current chunk.

/f access p(player) {playername} yes/no

allows you to toggle access for a player.

/f access f(faction) {factionname} yes/no

Toggles access of a faction on current chunk you are in.

The viewing of /f access view

This looks very confusing at first glance, But is very simple once you get uste to reading it.

Host Faction: Shows the faction that the chunk belongs to.

Host faction Allowed: If the Host faction (above) is allowed to access the chunk.

Granted Players: Player names who have access to the chunk (your faction members are in green).

Granted Factions: Factions that have access to the chunk.

Doubt....in few chunks, every player is allowed to use the containers, is it a faction perm or a staff member is required to set it for us?

if you want players to access a chunk themself. you need to give them access. if you got the perms all to no and give somebody access with /f access p playername yes, than he can do everything on that chunk.

Players have 1 flag they can open,

/f flag set open yes/no

Just lets players join the faction with or without an invite.

Only way to do this is to have an alt faction with container access allowed in perms.

Maybe add the main faction to ally.

Glad somebody finally made a tutorial for these commands. It can be frustrating trying to explain them to other people online.

This is for a player, Wanting to know how to make it possible for members to use chests in a chunk that they do not have access.

There are 2 ways that I can think of.

Way 1: This is the most dangerous, as allowing the wrong {relation} to open chests is a REALLY bad idea.

First remove access from all faction members from that chunk -

/f access f {facname}

Provide container perm, This will allow the {relation} to use all chests, anvils, item frames and enchant tables in the faction.

/f perm set container {relation} yes

Way 2:

Using an alt faction and use the {relation} to grant container access.

Create a faction under your alt account.

/f perm set container {relation} yes

Best to use ally relation, As this is the 1 that you can control.

I was wondering like if I can restrict access for members so they can't break stuff on specific chunk, but they can access chests on that chunk. Ex. like in mining world, they can't break blocks in sale shop, but they can use the chests and work table and anvil

So, I tried to make /f access f "faction" no , than I did /f access p "TectonicBomb" yes, so only I can manage chunk, than I went on /f perm list, tried /f perm set container "mem" yes and one of members came to try out that, but still they can't open the chests on faction spawn chunks.. So, I did /f perm set build "mem" no and gave him /F access p "name" to that chunk, altough I prevented him from building on that chunk with permission command he was still able to work on it because I gave him /f access (altough I blocked build permission for members)..

I really have no more ideas to make this possible, but in same time safe for my chunk blocks

I want to block everyone from removing block in a chunk. But still enable them to open chests and everything else. How would I write that?

You cannot provide access to chests in only 1 chunk, Would either have to set perm to allow chest access throughout faction,

Or create an alt faction and use that factions claims for the access to chests.

They are permitted to open chests. But if I try to lock down building on a chunk. It will also lock down everything else on that chunk. Like opening doors och chests.

The point is to protect the beacon from thefts.

Explain what you are doing in the chunk please.
