Excellent! Request/Suggestion:  Can you make an option to have a user-selectable/definable warp when a threshold for mob(s) has been met? Example... I stand in one location - my hot spot - for my spawner, but to kill the spiders i have to go 'downstairs'. So I set the mob threshold at something reasonable, and when that is met I get warped or /back or whatever to the kill spot. Sometimes it's easy to get distracted and those mob totals can add up so some may want to have the ability to keep the chunk loaded so the mobs don't disappear while they change a dirty diaper and when they are done rinsing yogurt out of their hair (long day) slay their mobs. Hence the user definable part. But it would also be nice to implement a safety feature for when the mob counts exceed reasonable limits 300+ [8D] then you get teleported to spawn so the chunk can unload. I fell asleep once at a spawner (really long day).

That's interesting and I like the idea but there's one thing to consider, the AFK kick. When you TP, the afk timer resets. Which means someone could be sitting at a spawner for 19 minutes and the mob counter reaches 150 mobs, and they get TP'ed to the kill point, so instead of getting idle kicked at the 20th minute they get an extra 20 minutes free in the server. It would technically be an automated idle kick evasion if implemented.

 

Although the TP'ing to spawn would also be idle kick evasion, I'm more inclined towards that one because the player does lose his/her mobs. Not entirely sure on it yet though.

 

Also how did you get 300+ without afk evasion? O.o must be a very good spawner + good tick day.

I was actually making dinner/watching the kids on that one. Another person was down there killing mobs. i would come back every once in awhile and check to see if he was still down there (at the time i hadn't loaded the new 1.8 mob counter so i had no clue how many spiders were down there). Long story short, got side tracked, I come back to check on the other person and Ebel and Kaidun are staring at me, lol. I dunno how many were really down there but I'm sure it was over 150.

 

I've fallen asleep before at the spawner but i usually get woken up by the mobs when there is too many.

 

I didn't think about that idle reset when you tp.  I can see how that would be a problem.

from what i've seen, cave spiders don't despawn immediately when u leave. i've left a combo spawner with some mobs and came back to only cave spiders and no humanoid mobs. but hey, i'm not complaining.

 

also thanks for the guardian update on the counter.

i also think it's a good idea for the counter to do /spawn when it crosses a certain value, like 300. but it shud be able to be disabled.

i don't think it should be disabled... there is NO reason outside of a staff event you need that many mobs loaded at once.

 

 

Edit:  Honestly, it would be even better if it was controlled at a server level somehow. But with the mod at least it gives you a little 'get out of jail free (or rather before you get sent there) card.

Hands down this is my favorite Kyzderp mod.  It's a must for serious animal farmers because no matter how carefully you count it's easy to over look an animal or count one twice!  5/5

isn't there a forge version?

No, why would you use something as large and heavy and clunky as Forge for something that could be done so easily client-side with LiteLoader? Just go install LiteLoader and link it with Forge. You can have both at the same time.

i can't download liteloader in any of my laptops/computers for some reason

I have downloaded Liteloader, extended it with Forge, and put the .liteloader file into ".minecraft\mods" folder, but it still says 0 mods loaded :(
